Who We Are

Not Another
AI Directory.

The internet is drowning in AI tool lists. Most are bloated catalogs updated by nobody, full of tools nobody uses. hotclicks.ai is different. We're a curation engine built to surface what's genuinely hot right now — scored by real signal, delivered weekly.

01 What We Do

Every week, our engine scans thousands of signals across the internet — Product Hunt launches, Reddit discussions, Hacker News posts, and more — to find the AI tools people are actually talking about.

We don't list every AI tool ever made. We surface what's hot right now. The tools generating real buzz. The launches getting real traction. The hidden gems getting upvoted by people who actually tried them.

Then we write honest takes. Not press releases. Not vendor copy. Our actual opinion on whether something is worth your time.

Most AI tool sites exist to collect affiliate clicks. They'll list anything. They have no opinion. They don't care if the tool is good.

We care. We'll tell you when something is overhyped. We'll tell you when a small tool is genuinely better than the well-funded alternative. We'll tell you who a tool is actually for — and who it's not.

Opinionated curation is the only kind worth reading.

02 How We Score

Every tool gets a Buzz Score — a weighted number that reflects real signal across 6 platforms. Here's exactly where we look and how much each source counts:

🟠
Product Hunt
Upvotes and comments tracked at launch and over time. The best signal for new tool momentum.
Weight: 1.0x — Top source
🟡
Hacker News
Show HN posts and discussion threads. Builder community signal — if HN is talking about it, it's real.
Weight: 0.9x
🔴
Reddit
r/artificial, r/MachineLearning, r/ChatGPT, r/SideProject, r/OpenAI, r/LocalLLaMA and more.
Weight: 0.8x
Dev.to
Developer articles and community reactions tagged with ai-tools, machinelearning, and productivity.
Weight: 0.7x
🐙
GitHub
Trending repos tagged with ai-tools, llm, generative-ai. Stars and activity as adoption signal.
Weight: 0.6x
🤖
TAAFT
There's An AI For That — the largest AI tool directory. We track new listings weekly to catch launches early.
Weight: 0.5x — Early signal
// Recency decay: signals less than 24 hours old = full weight. 1-3 days = 75%. 4-7 days = 50%. Older than 7 days = 25%. The catalog always reflects what's hot right now, not six months ago.

03 The Newsletter

The catalog is the archive. The newsletter is the weekly pulse.

Every Monday we send a digest of the hottest AI tools of the week — with our takes, who they're for, and whether they live up to the hype. Concise. Opinionated. Worth the 3 minutes it takes to read.

We don't send daily emails. When we feature a tool, it's because it earned it. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled — always.

04 Affiliate Transparency

Some links on hotclicks.ai are affiliate links. If you sign up for a tool through our link, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

This never influences our takes. A tool's buzz score is calculated algorithmically from real signals — not from who's paying us. We'll recommend a free tool over a paid one if it's genuinely better.

If you want to support hotclicks.ai, using our links is the best way to do it.
